We’re excited to be investigating Gresley Old Hall – Well known on the Paranormal circuit as one of the country’s most actively haunted venues, we can’t wait to see what we find!
Dare you join the Team?
Once we are all gathered outside the hall, the Team will take you inside, where, following an introduction to the history of this fascinating venue, we will split into smaller groups and proceed to investigate it’s many haunting claims. As usual you will get use of our extensive array of equipment, from technical items such as our wireless camera/pad systems, emf meters and voice recorders to the more traditional items such as dowsing rods and pendulums. Workshops will take place throughout the evening and you will be able to take part in human pendulums, spirit boards, scrying and much more!

Gresley Old Hall was originally built in 1556 for Christopher Alleyn on the site of the Old Gresley Priory (1135-1140). The present Hall was built to replace it’s timber counterpart around 1734, however it was built using the original foundations and some of the original chimneys also remain. During the late 17oo’s and early 1800’s china and earthenware was produced here. It was subsequently used as a tenanted farm, which went to ruin until it was purchased by the Coal Board and re-opened as a Miners Welfare Club in 1964.
With such a long and interesting history it’s no surprise that Gresley Old Hall is said to be one of the country’s most active haunted buildings, with regularly reported poltergiest activity and cold spots. Shadows are seen, and footsteps heard throughout the Hall’s many floors and rooms, and the Attic is another story entirely!
Don’t forget to bring your torches and cameras – you never know what you might find!
Prepare to be scared!
